**In The Streets**

Although the trench coat is something that was initially designed to protect your clothes from the rain, many women these days throw it on as more of a statement piece to enhance their more basic outfits.  Case in point.  I love wearing solid minimal effort outfits and giving them some flare with a belted coat or an oversized cardigan.  I loved the overall fit of this trench and didn’t even bother with the fasteners because I was going for more of a raw look.  Michigan weather can be a bit tricky so it’s always a good idea to keep both lighter and heavier coats on hand to keep yourself prepared.  I had a few casual business meetings downtown along with a lunch date that I wasn’t quite sure how to dress for so this outfit came together and worked out perfectly for the day!  It was crazy windy but the overall temperature was mild so I was able to look put together and chic while still being comfortable and appropriately dressed for all of my events that day.
