**After Dark**

So, we all know how it starts.  A chance encounter at the perfect place and the perfect time where the two of you lock eyes and find a way to close the gap between you.  A nervous but mostly exciting conversation that gets you to the point of that first phone call.  Before you know it, plans are made and the stress of finding the perfect date night outfit begins!  With Valentines Day just around the corner, I thought it would be fun to put some looks together and give some options on where to go!  The first part of this special edition post starts with a look that’s a little outside the box.

Starting with the kimono jacket that had me at “Hello!”  It was tucked away on a sale rack at Zara and coincidentally was just my size.  I knew at that moment that it was fate!  The rest of the outfit came together so easily when I envisioned how I wanted to showcase the jacket.  Don’t get me wrong, I am definitely a girl who loves her pointy toe pump, but in this case I thought the edge of a peep toe bootie seemed so right!  Keeping my hair swept to the side and showing off my earrings was a great way to add some contrast to the look.  A fitted tube dress and a popping bag completes me!

This look is perfect for restaurants like:  Parc; Selden Standard; and Bistro 82 (in Royal Oak.)

I did a bordeaux patent clutch with this look, but I truthfully think that any number of colored bags will look just as good 😉
