“24 karat magic in the air…”

Pearly iridescence was the theme and my birthday was the celebration!  Decided to debut my lifestyle page with a special edition piece on my birthday bash which took place this past weekend at Eddie V’s Prime Seafood in Troy.  I have always placed a huge importance on birthday’s because I think it’s necessary to celebrate yourself and rejoice the fact that another year of life was given.   In all honesty, my birthday is usually a 3 part series that kicks off with some sort of gathering with my girlfriends followed by a couple of celebrations with cousins and immediate family 🙂  This year my girlfriends and I celebrated with a dinner party at this wonderful venue!  I have to say, I was instantly impressed with how helpful and accommodating the staff was from the minute the reservations were made.  There were 13 of us which is a considerably large group, yet no pre-reqs were demanded by the event planner of the restaurant.  Upon arrival I was given a handwritten birthday card from the entire staff which was such a warm and thoughtful gesture.  Our waitress Ashley, was amazing!  She was so friendly and extremely professional.  It can be challenging to tame 13 girls in one small area, but she did a great job waiting on us and being patient throughout the entire evening being that we were there for almost 4 hours!  The food was incredible.  Everything from the bread to the delectable entrees and sides left us all full and happy!  Do yourself a favor and be sure to try the calamari if you go!  All of us had a variety of dishes and each were equally as good.  At the end of our meals I was brought out my favorite chocolate and raspberry cake from Sweet Dreams bakery that my Dad got for all of us to enjoy for dessert.  Papa is the best!  I wrote out personalized thank you cards for all of my girlfriends which also served as seating arrangements.  This is so important to do any time you have a larger group get together that may not all know each other as well as you do.  Lots of laughs and great conversations took place all night.  I’m so great full for each and every one of my girls that came to celebrate me!  Please be sure to check out my blog home page to see what I wore.  The post is titled “Birthday suit.”  So, just to wrap everything up, I want to give a special thanks to the entire staff at Eddie V’s and let them know what a phenomenal job they did with my birthday event.  Please contact Mark Flora who is one of the managing partners for your next event!
